| CDAAI stands for Carl
Duisberg Alumni Association Indonesia. This
association was founded in 1985 as a registered
non-profit organization. In the early years,
CDAAI only consists with people who have been
granted scholarships from Carl Duisberg Gesselschaft.
But later, in accordance with its growing
process, CDAAI broaden its membership’s
criteria. Now, membership of CDAAI opens for
every alumnus from Germany who was a scholarship
receiver; either from Inwent/CDG or from other
scholarship programs from Germany; such as
DAAD, FES, DSE, KAS, and so on. It also welcomes
graduates who got their degree from Germany
by personal funds, professionals that have
worked in Germany for years and people who
have lived in Germany and already returned
back to Indonesia.
Recently, CDAAI has 100 active members
with various background and expertise, mostly
are professionals; working in government,
private sectors, and NGO. We hold events
such as seminars, trainings, workshops and
other similar activities on a regular basis.
Most of the time, those activities are funded
by Inwent gGmbH.
